The College has friendly, experienced professional and committed staff and adequate facilities and equipment for meeting our aim of imparting the knowledge, skills and right attitude to our prospective students.

LEARNING BY DOING

Our approach in delivering the courses is “Learning by Doing” with emphasis on field training taking place in Tanzania’s major wildlife protected areas and the College’s Field Study Area at Kwakuchinja in Babati. (The Study area is a strategic wildlife corridor for mammals migrating between Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks


Background Information

The College of African Wildlife Management (CAWM), Mweka is the leading institution in professional and technical training in Wildlife and Tourism Management. It was established by the Tanzania Act of Parliament Number 8 of 1964. The College is registered and recognized as a Centre of Excellence by the East African Community (EAC) and Southen African Development Community (SADC).
